3-Day for the Cure Fundraiser - Falling Rock Taphouse on 7/18

Our Friend, Beth Walter, is doing the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure walk in August. In order for her to raise money for the walk she is hosting a fund raiser here at the Falling Rock. Here's how she puts it:

I am hosting a HUGE fundraising event at, of course, Falling Rock Tap House. Chris is allowing me to use open space for this event, so we will have things going on in the basement, the Library (aka cigar room) and the patio. As with all of my events, if you order at the bar or from a booth inside, you pay the bar for your stuff. BUT the following will be available as part of the fundraiser!!

I will have:
BEER!! (Shock? I think not)
I have beers coming from Bull and Bush, Oskar Blues, Avery, Dry Dock, Great Divide, Stone, Deschutes and Alaska. My good friends Bridget and Gregg made a special batch of homebrew as well, and I have it on trusted authority that it will be the perfect beer for this event.

FOOD!!!
Oskar Blues and my buddy Chris K. will have the Chicken Grill down here to make Beer Can Chickens. I also have a friend with an AMAZING hot-dog vending VW Bus that will be providing some great food. Dick Hess agreed to make some of his gazpacho and Jim Moore, who works at Sunshine Market up in Boulder is customizing a chicken sausage just for this event. It is going to be awesome!!!

SILENT AUCTION!!!
There will be an update next Friday with most of the Auction Items listed. However, things I know I have include:
-Signed Avery Biking Jersey (Thanks Adam!)
-9 year vertical of Bigfoot
-Vertical of Bells Expedition Stout
-Assorted aged imperial stouts from the Midwest (Thanks Nick on those last 2)
-Gift Certificates from my friends Paul Rabe and John Moe to be used at the salons they work at
-Dinner for 2 up to $100 from Vesta (Thanks Jeff!!)
-A Day Of Homebrewing with Kelly and Jason Kruegel, in which the bidder and a guest will get to brew a beer, drink amazing beers, eat awesome food and end up with 5 gallons of your own beer. Kelly and Jason are graciously providing everything you need (except maybe an empty keg?)
-and from one of my biggest supporters, assorted beers from New Glarus (think Raspberries and Cherries)

So far I have heard of two buses/vans/limos being put together to bring people down. Sunday with No Rockies means free parking on the street!! There are distributors of fine beverages donating schwag as well as drinks to this event, so I will know what I have on the Friday before hand, meaning you will have some surprises.

Important Info: This event is family friendly!! Well-behaved children are more than welcome!! I am arranging Sodas to be on tap as well as beers. ALL PROCEEDS WILL GO TO THE CHARITY!!!!!!! I will post my registration code for anyone who wants to donate online. I will be wearing a PINK workshirt courtesy of the FRTH with their logo, the name of my Aunt, who is in remission, and the names/logos of those who are donating to this event. If you would like an "In Honor of" name put on the shirt, please let me know!!
