Judging Beer At Club Meetings
Does anyone have thoughts about how to organize the judging of beer at the monthly club meetings?
As we have several club members who have recently taken the BJCP test, I would like to give everyone an opportunity to judge beers more often. This is also good for those who would like honest and immediate feedback on their beers. Anyone interested in judging could sit in on these sessions as well.
Is it too onerous for judges to fill out a beer score sheet during the meetings? Ten minutes per entry is too much, but I think the score sheets could be filled in quicker with practice. Is there an abbreviated form that could be used?
I will organize the judging around English Browns COC for the January meeting and would appreciate any feedback. If there is enough interest, I would like to hold a judging session at additional meetings beyond when we evaluate our entry for COCs.

Greg, take a look at the scoresheet used for the second round NHC. It is a checkbox style that is much quicker to use. It is designed more for sensory feedback on good beers than identifying flaws in bad ones, so it might not be that appropriate for us.
I'd certainly be interested in getting more direct feedback than just putting my beer on the table and coming back to an empty bottle.
