Oktoberfest in Greeley

Come celebrate Oktoberfest in historic Lincoln Park on September 24-25, 2010!

UNC started Greeley’s Oktoberfest in 1971 in a local educator's back yard and is now annually celebrated in Lincoln Park.

Oktoberfest is family-friendly event where you can enjoy regionally popular German food, local polka bands, a large variety of brews, and a great children’s area. You can even find shopping with a variety of vendor booths. Games start at 1:00 p.m.; participation is free. Entry is also free for the baking contest, a competition of the best rye bread, pie, and/or rival kuga (German coffee cake). Oktoberfest is held in historic Lincoln Park at 8th Street and 9th Avenue. Admission is FREE!

Greeley’s Oktoberfest is presented by the Downtown Development Authority and sponsored by the City of Greeley, along with a host of other sponsors who make this event possible. The majority of the proceeds from the event go the Downtown Development Authority, whose mission is to promote the economic redevelopment of the Greeley central business district. A portion of the proceeds from the children’s area gets donated to the Greeley Transitional House.
