Microbreweries for the Environment Benefit April 23, 2010 (Fri) Since 1993, the Microbreweries for the Environment benefit have raised nearly $100,000 for local environmental causes. This is a carbon-neutral event. You are encouraged to walk, bike or bus to the event. Over 20 Colorado microbreweries will serve their best beers. Cheap pints! Crabtree Brewing's Springfest 2010 Late April, 2010 (Sat) This 5th annual event features live bands, great local food, free billiards and of course great Crabtree beer on tap at the brewery. Big Brew on National Homebrew Day In 1988, The first Saturday in May was announced before Congress as National Homebrew Day. The American Homebrewers Association (AHA) created Big Brew as an annual event to celebrate National Homebrew Day not only in the United States, but around the world. Big Brew is held each year on the first Saturday in May. Each year the AHA finds two or three recipes to highlight for Big Brew. Then hundreds of homebrewers register their Big Brew locations (see Site Registration) for a communal brew-in to celebrate National Homebrew Day. Start: 2:44 pm
