Hop Barley and the Alers

Recipe: Wit

Ingredient kit raffled off at June 2001 meeting; won then brewed by John Bordwell.

5.5 lbs Belgian Pilsner malt
4.5 lbs wheat malt
4 oz clear candi sugar
1 oz German Hersbrucker (or other similar hop)
.5 oz Saaz 
1 tsp bitter orange peel
1 tsp crushed coriander
Wyeast #3944 or other Wit yeast
OG: 1.050-1.052
FG: 1.008-1.010

Mash grains at 150F for 90 min. Add candi sugar at start of 90 min. boil, Hersbrucker @ 60 min. Add spices @ 10 min to go in boil, Saaz @ 5 min. More spices (of the same variety) can be added at shutoff.
